Created in 2003 by husband and wife team Simon and Lee-Anne McQueen, Splash Swimming considers itself to be a highly specialized swimming education centre. We’re passionate about swimming, and we’re dedicated to passing on this passion to every swimmer or potential swimmer we meet, whether young or old. Our greatest wish is that every swimmer taught by Splash Swimming, no matter what their age or natural ability, is inspired to continue swimming as a life-sport. Happy customers are very important to us. We strive to give every customer the best possible tuition and service on every single visit, and to make every customer feel like they’re a part of the Splash Swimming family – a family of professionals committed to excellence. Swimming is so much more than just another sport. It’s an essential life-skill which, once mastered, opens up a whole new world to the swimmer. Those who have learned to swim experience a sense of confidence in their ability to master the amazing element of water, to move through it, in it and under it, and to use it for exercise, rehabilitation, recovery and pleasure. Yet they have also developed a respect for water’s power, and appreciate the importance of being mindful of the potential dangers of a body of water. Those who have learned to swim can relax in and around water, and enjoy all its benefits. For those who can swim well, the possibilities are endless: squad swimming, gala swimming, life-saving, surfing, water-polo, synchronized swimming, diving, open-water swimming, under-water hockey, sailing, water-skiing, paddling… So why do we do what we do? Well, because we love swimming! We’re passionate about swimming, and we strive to get better at it every day, with every lesson we teach… 'A dedicated teacher makes learning a joy' Splash teachers are not ordinary teachers. We all hold the necessary Swimming South Africa Learn-to-Swim Teacher’s Certificate, and a current CPR certificate, but we’re not satisfied to leave it at that – Splash teachers are constantly striving for excellence, constantly seeking out new information, new methods, new ideas. Our lessons are professional and of the highest quality, while being fun, interactive and interesting. We aim not to just teach people to swim, but to inspire them to swim, leaving them eager to do more, be more, and try harder. By encouraging, supporting and inspiring our swimmers, we hope to instill a life-long passion for swimming and all the sports and activities that go along with it.
